RISE supporters organized a great event on Saturday, touring 2 Chicago breweries – Lagunitas and Motor Row, traveling by trolley, enjoying Malnati’s pizza and raising funds to give 10 kids the chance to go to school! Thank you!

On Friday December 19^th, the President signed the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014 which includes a provision extending the Charitable IRA tax provision that expired 12/31/2013. An individual who is at least 70 ½ can distribute up to 100K from their traditional or rollover IRA for 2014 without paying federal taxes on the distribution. Please consult your tax attorney.

Thanks to all who joined us for our annual benefit on Saturday, November 8th. It was a great evening celebrating “Real stories. Real results.” at Toms-Price Home Furnishings in Lincolnshire. Funds raised will educate kids without a school at the village of Trumba in the Bie Province.
