This is the new well at Chitete in Bie – access to clean water is life changing for this village! Chitete is one of 6 villages involved in our water study. Only 34% of the rural population in ‪‎Angola‬ have access to clean water, 19% to improved sanitation.

Money raised by Team RISE 2015, several US schools, Sonangol Marine Services and partners, and through the 2015 RISE Benefit, together funded an 8-classroom school at Alto Esperanca. The school was approved, money wired, and construction is underway – an amazing turnaround! Kids at Alto Esperanca are excited and grateful as they anticipate learning in their new school!
