The Catholic School Complex BG 2036 Santa Cecília (Complexo Escolar Católico BG 2036 Santa Cecília) is a modern educational facility located in the Cassai neighborhood of Lobito, Benguela, Angola. Inaugurated in June 2025, it is a primary school with 10 classrooms, constructed and implemented by RISE Angola. It was built to improve access to quality education, create an additional learning facility in the area, and enhance community infrastructure.

The school is a component of the Cabinda Integrated Project, part of the Angolan oil sector’s Social Responsibility contribution, promoting community development through education, access to water and health, and economic diversification. Launched in 2022, it benefits more than 80,000 people. The project, valued at over 4 million US dollars, included: the construction of a vocational training center, the construction, rehab and equipping of 5 schools, the installation and rehabilitation of 6 water systems, nutritional health activities, and support for micro-entrepreneurship and agriculture. The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), Azule Energy and partners of Blocks 15/06 (Sonangol E&P and Sinopec) and Cabinda Centro (Sonangol E&P and ExxonMobil) handed over the Cabinda Integrated Project (PIC) to the Provincial Government on July 23, 2025.

“The integrated social project in Cabinda, delivered today, is not just an engineering work but a work of hope: a direct investment in the future of children, young people, and the future of the Province itself. For Azule Energy, supporting this social project was more than a corporate responsibility: it was a commitment to human development,” declared Ana Ferreira, Human Resources Director of Azule Energy, during the ceremony. Mr. Paulo Fernandes added, “ANPG and its partners are determined to support the education sector, starting with basic education.” This milestone project, implemented in partnership with RISE and supported by Block 18 partners, reflects the belief that education is the foundation of a brighter future.
