Viva Paz school

Viva Paz is an area of great need, south of the town of Benguela. Thousands of children do not have access to clean water, healthcare, or education. Some go to school in makeshift tin structures, and parents who desperately long for education for their kids contributed money to start building classrooms. RISE collaborated with the Benguela Ministry of Education to identify the site, and RISE built 15 classrooms, in addition to completing 6 classrooms started by the community, to begin to meet the huge need – there are an estimated 5000 children in the area without a school. Construction is complete.
