Caplow Children’s Prize finalists

The Caplow Children’s Prize finalists were announced today – RISE is one of eight!

School #150 Approved!

School #150 was approved and will be built at the village of Jimba in the Bie Province, a few kilometers outside of Kuito. The children will have an 8 classroom school as a result of the combined efforts of Team RISE 2013, students at LMU, our 2013 benefit and a generous matching donor!

Thank you Team RISE 2013

Congrats to all 2013 half-marathon and marathon runners! Thanks to supporters, family and friends who cheered along the route and to all who gave to educate kids in Angola! Since 2009, Team RISE has given over 5,300 children the opportunity to go to school! You can still donate and make a difference.

School Dedication – Viana

Viana, built by RISE and funded by BP and Subsea 7, was dedicated on September 10, 2013.  Excited students, teachers, community members, BP representatives and officials shared in the festivities. New desks and chalkboards were delivered.

Team RISE 2013

Team RISE runners trained hard to impact the lives of kids in Angola. You can still support them by giving.

WeGo to Africa

WeGo to Africa, at Community High School West Chicago, raised funds to send kids to school in Angola through their “Who’s Your Peep?” and Parking Spot Raffle efforts.
