Photo Gallery of 2010 RISE Schools Catraio and Cangalo, Bie Province The Ministry of Education funded two schools in Bie, partnering with RISE because they see RISE as trustworthy and efficient. RISE provided plans, purchased building materials and gave oversight. The need for classrooms is so great that a third shift has been added to accommodate students during the day, and a generator has been purchased to hold night classes for older students. |

Chico da White, Benguela Province Chico da White is a village surrounded by four others with a population of about 8,000. Life is difficult with no running water or sanitation, no electricity, inadequate healthcare and poverty--yet the community wanted a school for their children and volunteered labor to help get it built. This school was funded as a result of the June 2010 Appeal. |
